Port Mansfield offers you an opportunity to have a fantastic fishing adventure while enjoying our small, easy going community. Accommodations are plentiful on and off the water from $50/night to $300/night. There are four restaurants open and several will cook your catch. There are three on the water marina/bait stores, two sell boat fuel. There is one small grocery/gas store. And, Mexico is just a short drive for dinner and shopping!

The Laguna Madre is one of only three hypersaline lagoons in the world, meaning it is very salty, even saltier than the Gulf of Mexico. The Laguna averages less than three feet deep. No major rivers empty into the Laguna and the lack of turbidity means that the Laguna Madre is the clearest bay in Texas. The clear shallow water promotes luxuriant seagrass growth serving as both food and shelter for many sport and commercial fishes as well as acting as a nursery ground for developing and growing Gulf shrimp.
